WHA: If I sign up for 3 years and after 1 year I decide to leave or some other circumstance ends my hosting with you, what is the refund? Is difference pro-rated?

Alternatively you can get the lowest term on the plan, that is the only option. If you are really keen on using them due to their environmental policies or their site builder, try a little charm and ask them to make an exception so you can feel better in trusting them.
